This achievement is definitely a huge encouragement which has further strengthened our commitment to take education beyond the text books in all spheres of learning. We thank our dedicated staff, supportive parents and dear students for being our partners in this achievement.
All the Pre Primary and Primary teachers along with the Administrative staff went on a picnic to the Mulshi Dam on the 21st of December 2011.

Mulshi and its surroundings are endowed with natural beauty and the view is breathtaking. The beautiful lake with its calm water adds serenity to the place and the terrain around makes for a great trekking track.

We reached the place in roughly two hours and the bus journey too was great fun with teachers engaged in various games and events planned by the staff club team. It was a perfect day with the sun bright and the mood on the upbeat.

The teachers joined with childlike enthusiasm for games, dance, tug of war and in the end an enjoyable lunch at the Sai Resorts. The day was relaxed and fun and gave teachers a chance to reconnect.

Among the many pleasant memories of being together at school, few are more delightfully recalled than the staff picnic. It was a wonderful occasion which was long awaited and well enjoyed.

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act, but a habit”, said Aristotle.

With absolute belief in these words, the Orbis has developed an ongoing program to ignite and empower teachers and make them constant seekers.

‘Here education is not limited to the classroom’

As a part of our programme to let our young learners construct knowledge from life itself, the students of classes II, III and IV got an opportunity to visit the Commonwealth Express Exhibition Train which was at Pune to showcase the Nation’s biggest sporting event, the 19th Commonwealth Games, 2010, Delhi from the 3rd to the 14th October.

As an extension of our School Wellness Drive, a Swine Flu Vaccination Camp was held in the school premise on 25th September 10. The school doctor, Dr. Sushilkumar Shinde, a consultant Pediatrician and Neonatalogist, administered intra nasal H1N1 vaccine to a good number of students, their siblings and parents.

The entire help staff of the school was also vaccinated to complete the ring of safety in the school. Creating of awareness about hygiene and wellness, weekly fumigation, use of hand sanitizers, clean environment and medical check-ups are a regular part of our integrated school health programme.

We thank the parents and bestauscasinos.com for extending their support in making The Orbis School a health conscious school.

The Orbis School had this great opportunity of visiting the Poonawala Stud Farm on 9th July 2010. It was a wonderful, joyous and an enlightening experience for the children. They not only saw beautiful horses, the farm, they enjoyed the ambience around also and learnt many things from the doctors there.

Children were thrilled to see the horses galloping in the fields. They saw a mini race course. Then they also had a chance to see a horse named "Mystical" who has won many races internationally and in India as well. The doctors there made the children aware of many aspects of the horses, their food and their habits. They also visited the horse laboratory. Children were also shown the machines which help the horses to run faster and grow their stamina. The children were thrilled and very happy to be there.

The Orbis school takes all the opportunity to thank the authorities of the farm for making this memorable visit possible and for making the trip so enjoyable and enriching.
